ABOUT US

Blue Ribbon Rabbitry is located in central Indiana and is owned by Kelly and Andrea Schoenegge. Kelly is a licensed rabbit judge (#920) with the American Rabbit Breeders Association (ARBA) and has raised rabbits since the early 1990s. Our rabbitry is registered with ARBA. We are both members of the American Tan Rabbit Specialty Club (ATRSC), with Kelly having served previously as the club president.

We maintain a small breeding program of only Tans, primarily the black variety. We strongly believe in quality over quantity, and maintaining small numbers means that we have exceptionally high standards for our animals.

Our goal is to produce nationally competitive show rabbits that are also well-handled, personable, and cared for as individual animals. We believe it is possible to strive for both temperament and aesthetic excellence.

We raise rabbits because we love animals and always strive to keep that love for the rabbits at the center of all we do. Over the years, our Tans have won numerous Best in Show awards, as well as multiple Best of Breed awards at the National Tan Show and the ARBA National Convention.
