The Ohio Mini Convention was the first show I have attended as an exhibitor since the ARBA Convention last fall. The National Tan Show was held on Saturday and the OSRBA All Breed Show was held on Sunday. There was a beautiful array of Tans shown both days. I left this show feeling refreshed and inspired by the other wonderful breeders and animals I encountered.

Congrats to not just the winners this weekend, but to all of the exhibitors. Your contributions to the breed are important and significant. All of you are greatly appreciated for your help in furthering this breed we so love.
Last fall I was really junior heavy and weak on seniors. This spring I have had the opposite issue as I went through a dry spell with litters. I am happy to now have 7 litters of blacks in the nestbox, with many more on the way in the upcoming weeks. I am currently continuing to work on re-configuring my herd. This has been a long process and I am happy that my animals have continued to compete so well at the national level as over the past few years as I have worked on rebuilding. The work continues!

Show results aside, this was a really great Convention. I had a wonderful time with my friends and fellow breeders. In Tans, I did not take any "show seniors" this year, so there was a lot of pressure on my black juniors. I am more than thrilled with how well they did. This was my first ARBA Convention showing Florida Whites, so I was also very happy to crack the top ten in both senior classes.
[Pictured: Flynn's Woodstock - Black Junior Buck - Best in Show @ Stonebelt RBA] On Sunday I judged my first show of the fall season in Franklin, Indiana. I had intended originally to leave everyone at home. In the end I left most of the Tans home that had been shown the prior weekend and opted to allow a (mostly) new group to gain some table experience. A big thanks to Chance and Treasa for showing my rabbits for me while I judged! Best in Show and Best of Breed was Flynn's Woodstock - Black Junior Buck. This was this buck's first show. Best Opposite of Breed was Flynn's Ophelia - Black Junior Doe. I showed one chocolate and had BOV with Flynn's Cleopatra. Next show: ARBA Convention in San Diego (...but I've said that once before!).
