Blue Ribbon Rabbitry is located in central Indiana and is owned by me, Kelly Flynn. While I have raised rabbits for ARBA show competitions since the mid-1990s, my involvement goes back even further as my family has owned rabbits my entire life. I was a tenure 4-H member in the Vigo County Rabbit Club in Terre Haute, Indiana and continued my involvement with rabbits into adulthood.
I am a licensed rabbit judge (#920) with the American Rabbit Breeders Association. Additionally, I have formerly served as the President of the American Tan Rabbit Specialty Club, which is the national breed organization for my breed. Prior to becoming President I served several terms as District 8 Director. I am also a founding member and current President of the Indiana Tan Rabbit Club.
I maintain a conservative breeding program and strongly believe in quality over quantity. Maintaining small numbers means that I have exceptionally high standards for my animals. I work with rabbits because I am an animal lover and I strive to give my rabbits the absolute best care possible. I support the work of the ASPCA and voluntarily follow their guidelines for responsible breeding.
My rabbitry is registered with the American Rabbit Breeders Association (ARBA) and we are members of the organization. We are also members of the Indiana State Rabbit Breeders Association (ISRBA), the American Tan Rabbit Specialty Club (ATRSC), the Indiana Tan Rabbit Club (ITRC) and the Florida White Rabbit Breeders Association (FWRBA).
My husband, Peter, attends a few shows with me throughout the year, but his rabbit allergies (no joke!) preclude him from attending as often as he would like. He typically attends national shows and the big local shows. Peter's involvement is now mostly behind the scenes. He is currently the secretary/treasurer of the Indiana Tan Rabbit Club.
